Ms. Sandra Kenan Rivenbark, age 64 of Wallace, NC, passed away on December 18, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by the Rev. Ted Mercer. Burial will follow at Rockfish Cemetery in Wallace, NC. Visitation will be held at 1:00 on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Padgett Funeral Home Chapel.
She is survived by her father, Arthur C. Kenan of Wallace, NC, her daughter, Carrie Gurganious and husband David of Willard, NC, her son, Eric Forbes and wife Paula of Wallace, NC, three grandchildren, Austin Rivenbark of Burgaw, NC, Evann Forbes of Wallace and Josh Buchanan of Wallace, NC, a brother, Kevin Kenan and wife Glenda of Wallace, NC and a sister, Carolyn Haswell and husband Michael of Goldsboro, NC.
Born February 7, 1950 in Duplin County, NC, Ms. Rivenbark was the daughter of Arthur C. Kenan and the late Mary (Wilson) Kenan and was preceded in death by two brothers, William Arthur Kenan and David Alford Kenan.
Sandra was a member of Wallace First Baptist Church and loved working with flowers, enjoyed being in nature, riding her bike, baking, cooking and reading. She loved her pets and was a great decorator and loved sewing.
Casketbearers will be Michael Haswell, Raymond Teachey, Andrew Kenan, Randy Little, Rodney Garris and Larry Rivenbark. Honorary Casketbearers will be Al Warren and Josh Buchanan .
