Mrs. Ruby Ann Ramsey Fussell, age 79 of Rose Hill, NC, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Charles Love.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Billy B. Fussell of the home, two sons, Jay Fussell and wife Joey of Wallace, NC and Bert Fussell and wife Sarah of Rose Hill, NC, one daughter, Wendy F. Kelley and husband Ronald of Rose Hill, NC, four grandsons, Jason Fussell and wife Shelly of Dunn, NC, Will Fussell of Wallace NC, Ian Kelley of Rose Hill, NC and Collin Kelley of Rose Hill, NC, one brother, Jimmy Ramsey and wife Phyllis of Leland, NC and two sisters, Kara Norris and husband Dan of Teachey, NC and Linda Ramsey of Kinston, NC.
Born August 31, 1935 in Pender County, NC, Mrs. Fussell was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Ruby Florence (Usher) Ramsey and was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Jewell.
Ann was a member of Teachey Presbyterian Church and loved being surrounded by her family. She was well known for her grape hull and lemon blueberry pies. She loved working in her yard and had a passion for animals. She was an employee of Duplin Winery in Rose Hill, NC.
Casketbearers will be Jason Fussell, Will Fussell, Ian Kelley, Collin Kelley, Jay Fussell, Bert Fussell and Ronnie Kelley.
