Mrs. Ellen (Watkins) Hardison, age 73 of Wallace, NC, passed away Friday, March, 7, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel conducted by President Norman Adkins. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Padgett Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel. Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Hardison of the home and a granddaughter of the home, Donna Marie Edwards, two daughters, Kareene Perry and husband George of Teachey, NC, and Donna Edens and husband Anthony of Magnolia, NC, two sons, Richard Lundsford and Pam of Burlington, NC, and John Henry Lundsford of Burlington, NC, a stepdaughter, Sheila Cavenaugh and husband Timmy of Wallace, NC and a stepson, Gary Keith Hardison and wife Lydia of Kyle, TX, and a brother, Lawrence Watkins and wife Gloria of Burlington, NC and eight grandchildren, Allen Lee Page, Richard Dale Lundsford, Jr., Joey Keith Jordan, David Brice, James Brice, Christina Lundsford, Kevin Lundsford and Nicole Perry.
Born July 12, 1940 in Alamance County, Mrs. Hardison was the daughter of the late Herman and Grace Capps Watkins and was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin Watkins and Dwight Watkins, and a sister, Margaret Stacy. Mrs. Hardison attended school at E.M. Holt. She was also a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Wallace. Ellen enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a selfless, amazing woman that we will miss and love always.
Pallbearers include Allen Lee Page, Richard Dale Lundsford, Jr., Joey Keith Jordan and Ray Donald.

I Love and Will Always miss you , the secret talks that only a parent could have with there kid. Even though sometimes that was hard , where we could laugh & sometimes cry . and no one new it. but you are finely get the peace , and love that you so long .I know you will always be over looking me and that My Heavenly Father got a angel when you left.

Another fix to my post Ellen had four siblings. Two sister's who proceeded her in death Aunt Margaret and Aunt Patsy Ruth and one brother Uncle Ervin. Then her remaining brother still living that makes all five children.

My prayers are with her children. I gape they find peace for surely Ellen finally has. Ellen had a sister who proceeded her in death, she however did not have a brother named Dwight Watkins, I should know my Father said she didn't and he was her baby brother. To move on Ellen was one of the sweetest souls ever to grace earth I will miss my favorite aunt till my final day.
